Longtime Clients { Zachary Louisiana Family Portrait Photographer }

January 28th, 2014 | Children, Family Portraits

I have been photographing this family since Dylan (the oldest) was a newborn. These are my proudest moments, when a family chooses me to document their lives for many many years. Here’s to the next 7 years!Amy Martin Photography Louisiana

New Chapters { Baton Rouge Louisiana Family Portrait Photographer }

January 22nd, 2014 | Children, Family Portraits

The first time I met this family was in 2010 when one of them was diagnosed with cancer. It has been a long road and last year after one of the most inspirational fights I have been privileged to witness (from afar thanks to Facebook), Jamie went to meet Jesus. Leslie decided it was time to tackle the first of (hopefully) many family portraits without their beloved Jamie. I am so honored that she again chose me to document this special time. But it was not without Jamie, because I saw saw him in Tucker’s sweet eyes and his mischievous spunk. And the best part of all was the welcoming of Elvis, that cute puppy! I think Elvis wanted to come home with me… (?)
Here are a few from that session:

An Army homecoming! { Baton Rouge Documentary Photography }

December 16th, 2013 | Family Portraits

This morning I had the privilege of experiencing something I had only seen in the movies, a military homecoming. This one was a long time friend’s husband. He has been gone for almost a year and she has been single parenting since then. You could feel the weight lifted from her shoulders and it was impossible to wipe the smiles off of the kid’s faces.

She ran down the walkway and could not stop hugging him. It was the sweetest thing.
