    The Hyfields: { Baton Rouge, LA Family Photographer }

    August 11th, 2010 | Family Portraits

    I first met this family a year ago when they came in for Family Portraits. Check out last year’s session here. This year we went for something a little more urban. The first day we met Violetta wasn’t feeling well so we snapped a few and opted to do a re-shoot when she was better. We met on the 2nd day and Mr Luca decided he didn’t like looking at me or smiling that day. Despite both of those things we got some great stuff both days.

    This family is so original and I LOVE that! Mom always has such great ideas yet still trusts my creativity for the session. The combination of those two things results in images like this. And besides all of that she is a MAJOR confidence booster. She always has the most encouraging things to say. I think I will call her anytime I am feeling a little down.

    It is refreshing to see parents who love one another and are so sweet to each other, even when their photo shoots don’t go as planned.

    These are from the second session.

    I LOVE this series of family pictures!

    Here comes the fun. Violetta had the time of her life in this fountain! She cried when we left.

    I first took this little girls picture when she was a newborn. a year has passed and she is just as adorable as ever. Her parents chose to do her photo session at a plantation owned by the family. I love when clients make their photo-sessions special by choosing a meaningful place.

    Little Grace is the typical one year old, she can stand up but only holding onto something. I suggested trying to force her to stand so in the first picture here you will see her being slightly held up by her grandfather, and in the second, standing all on her own. Her parents were almost squealing with excitement as she stood there for a good little bit. They said that is the longest she has ever stood on her own.

    The weather was not cooperating too much and the rain forced us on the porch.

    I love this photo of the family. I know it isn’t the perfect everyone smiling at the camera picture but to me it represents real life.

    As we were walking back to the car, the sun gave us the most beautiful light.

    I seriously have the cutest clients! {Louisiana Baby Photography}

    Wesley is one of the cutest kids I have ever had a pleasure to photograph! He is such a doll, You may remember him from his newborn session. I was so sad to hear that his family was relocating to Ville Platte from Baton Rouge, but I was thrilled when mom said she would still of course use me :)

    Here are a few from his first birthday session! He was the first one to use my newest Salvation Army Chair.
