    Beautiful Light

April 21st, 2010 | Baton Rouge Senior Portraits, Louisiana Senior Photographer, Senior

    Well it’s been a while but here I am…

My last week of April Resolution is to at least blog once a week. I know all 2 of my readers will appreciate that :)

Some days I feel more creative than others, some of my sessions are leaps and bounds better than others, for no rhyme or reason. The hardest part of my job is being creative on demand. I think it is something that all of us photographers battle with from time to time. While I love my job, sometimes I get stumped. Sometimes I have a hard time coming up with poses and sometimes the whole time I am shooting a session I am looking through the camera and thinking this looks dumb, but I shoot it anyway and move on. Then there are those other times when the stars seem to collide. This session was one of those, gorgeous girls, adorable clothing choices, and light so beautiful that I could eat it! (that won’t make sense to anyone except a few photographers). This was one of those sessions.

Friday Night Lights: Louisiana Senior Portrait Photographer

April 3rd, 2009 | Baton Rouge Senior Portraits, Louisiana Senior Photographer, Senior, Uncategorized

These two love birds came in together to take their SR pictures together. I had no idea that I was in the presence of  a local celebrity. As you will see below he has helped pitch Zachary to some championships and is already signed with LSU to play baseball. I reminded him to remember the little people like me when he’s rich and famous ;) And how beautiful is this girl? I had a very hard time deciding which ones to post!

The Rings! His dad informed me that after they won the championship this year that these pictures would be obsolete and I would have to take another! Okay by me….

    img_7928How cute are these two!

    And the legend himself.

zackimg_7758img_7845I love this shot….. it is what made me think of the blog title. (disclaimer: I do realize that Friday Night Lights is about football, but you know what I mean!)

Bare Feet: Baton Rouge Senior Photography

April 1st, 2009 | Baton Rouge Senior Portraits, Louisiana Senior Photographer, Senior, Uncategorized

This girl opted to do her session on location downtown. She went barefoot at almost every place we got out! I thought for sure she was going to slice her feet open! But she didn’t :) We had alot of fun and at the end she took a jump into the fountain.

    I LOVE this one!

Boys will be Boys: Louisiana SR Portrait photographer

March 30th, 2009 | Baton Rouge Senior Portraits, Louisiana Senior Photographer, Senior, Uncategorized

These boys were so much fun. This was the PERFECT location and if it weren’t so far away then I would likely be caught trespassing with other clients :)

I should post this last since it is the last pictures we took and the coolest. But I don’t want you to somehow miss them. They mentioned jumping in the lake as a joke, and I was all like uh I really wanted yall to do that. They were a little unsure and came back up SCREAMING out how cold it was. But I think it was worth it.

    boys

Yes they are on a tractor… why you ask?  because it looks cool!
img_6270tylerjklinecaseyAnd last one… the second jump (okay maybe it was the 3rd or 4th)

I love this picture because it could have been taken at any point in time, and yells out freedom….(to me anyway) And when you are 18 about to graduate that is all you think about! (at least thats all I thought about)

Switching Gears: Zachary, Lousiana Senior Photographer

March 27th, 2009 | Baton Rouge Senior Portraits, Louisiana Senior Photographer, Senior

The next few posts will be some high schools Seniors. I have shot more this year than ever! I have been very fortunate to have some really great, unique kids that really appreciate great photography. This little lady was so fun and so sweet. She had so many great ones it was hard to choose only a few for the blog.
